Turn your iphone in to a remote
It seems like iphone can be anything you want to be. There are so many accessories and applications available that it is just enhancing your life.
One such device is the RedEye by ThinkFlood. It makes use of your wifi connectivity to turn your iphone in to a remote control for all your multimedia devices such as your TV, DVD Player, Cable box and so on.
Basically the device uses infra red to change the channels. You will need to download the RedEye application from itunes to your iphone, configure it to connect to your wifi. The remote control codes can be downloaded from their extensive database to match so you can change channels. If you cant find the right codes, simply let the RefEye learn the codes from your existing remote control.
I am tempted to purchase this to control so many media devices at home. More so to come up with projects that enables me to control stuffs or toys remotely. This guy here in the video is tempting me to get it to use in my home automation project that I am thinking of.
