Why Join?

You have heard the increasing amount of natural disasters like typhoons, storms, flooding extreme draught and hot weather. These unusual weather patternns has been studied by scientists and it is believed that the cause due increasing human activities causing global warming.

By joining Earth Hour you doing your part in decrease green house gases. How? Turn off your power supply and there is less electricity needs to be produced by our power stations which most likely burns fossil fuels.

What am I doing

Last year I supported by turning off the power supply to my home. Yes, the main breaker. Some of my friends called me crazy as lights are the only thing that needs to be powered off. I decided to go further.

This year I am doing the same thing. With the support of my family, I am going to power off the main switch and take stroll around the park near my home. Don’t worry about the contents in the fridge, they will last the one hour.
