I had a friend asking me this question “How to scan for virus or malware without booting into Windows?” His reason being he is unable to reinstall the Antivirus or Anti-malware as the system is too infected to do a installation or proper full scan.

My suggestion is to use “Ultimate Boot CD for Windows“. There is some leg work to be done before burning a bootable CD and is clearly stated in the site. A very clear instruction is given too.
