Fellow blogger Prasys has come up with great way of using Google Voice outside of the US. You may want to read his blog to see how to do so. It will take some time to set-up, so please be patient while doing this.

What is Google Voice?

Google Voice is actually hybrid VOIP Service provided by Google , which allows you to make free calls any number in the US and it allows you to send and receive text messages without paying a dime or a cent.

Let me tell you this, if you have many friends in the US it is worth it. If not just Skype them or use Google Talk to chat with your friends.

I might try this out just for fun.
