Bluemic’s Snowball Microphone review

30 July 2009 1 views No Comment

I have been searching for a good quality USB based microphone for future podcasts and recording of video. Googling around, I came across this Blue Microphone Snowball.

This is a plug n play device needing no driver. It is recognised by Microsoft Vista, XP and Mac OS X without much effort. I expect it to work with Windows 7 too.

View the Video below for my short review.

It comes with unique three pattern switch:
- Cardioid (Single Direction)
- Cardioid with –10dB pad (noise canelling)
- Omni- directional (360 degrees)

Conclusion

This microphone is much better sounding than the Logitech headphones microphone. The sound the crisp and clear with some amount of base. Very little noise is picked out from the surroundings. You will notice that from the video recording.

I will highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in podcasting or video recording. If you are into small jamming session with your friends, you dont need a studio. Just plug this into your laptop and leave it in the middle of the room and rock away.
