I am talking about Canon Photography equipments here.

Though Canon does not advertise this anywhere, you can take advantage of this program. If I am not wrong its also called the Canon’s Customer Loyalty Program.

If you have any hopelessly spoilt or an old camera, you can trade in for a new camera at 15% or 20% off a new camera. Mind you that this is off the RRP quoted by Canon Service Centre. I would say not bad for a out of warranty old camera.

I came across this while browsing ClubSnap forums. Read the entire thread (if you have the patience) and get to know the details better.

I have a 3 year old Canon Powershot S2IS whose lens is stuck. I cant zoom anymore. Everything else works perfectly. I am wondering if it is worth to repair and if it worthwhile to make use of the Loyalty Program.
I will go to the service centre and update on the status.
