I am supporting Earth Hour and on the 28th March 2009, 2030hr to 2130hr (GMT+8), I will be switching off the mains in my home.

All of us are part of the Global Warming problem, please do not deny this. One way or another we are destroying the future or the future of our future generation. Lots of studies have been going on and still going regarding the impact of Global warming. I believe its about time that we take action instead of waiting for the results. Do you want to know the result?

No doubt with todays usage of fossil fuel and other natural resources we are emitting more and more CO2, which in long run will cause and is causing Global Warming, which in turn causes the Ice packs in the Antartic to melt. What happens when that happens? The seal level rises and more land will be submerged. It could be a disastrous outcome for our future.

So what am I doing to help?

First of all, I went to earthhour.org and registered to receive the updates and tips.
Inform my family members to join in and support me in switching off the mains
Roping in my friends to supporting Earth Hour

In this hour of no electricity there might be a minimum sum saved but it is a first step towards helping and supporting the cause. Seriously, in the long run you are the one that gains.
