Why my backup plan works

30 November 2008 1 views No Comment

My HDD has been giving weird problem for the past few days. Most likely the past few months too. It was giving weird problems of system crashes without any particular trend.
It crashed on me a few days ago while I was scanning and trying to repair bad clusters. There were just too many bad clusters.

Then why do I say my back up plan works??

It is because I am not worried about losing data. All my important data is backed up into my secondary Hard drive. As I have emphasized before a good backup plan is essential.

I am not insisting on anyone to use my plan but here is a proof that it just plainly works. You can Google to find many other backup plans.

With regards to this, I have decided to do some research and write in the next post on how to detect HDD failures, the easy way. I am not going to be very detailed as I dont want everyone to do detailed diagnostics and so on.

See you in the next post.
